Original Brass Wwi Banjo Oiler For 1911, 45 Cal Pistol Cleaning Kit

VINTAGE  WW1 BANJO OILER FOR THE MODEL 1911 45 CAL ISSUED WEAPON 100+ YEARS OLD Up for auction is this Vintage 1911's Banjo Type Brass Gun Oiler, I show a picture of the assembled kit but this is for the Oiler only. It has a wonderful aged patina. It is "farm fresh" and has not been cleaned. This is from a collection that was acquired from around America by a man who traveled for his job. The enclosed letter indicates item this is from the 1908-1918 time frame. I will enclose a letter of authenticity from the Smithsonian Institution dated 1971, see last picture . The Oiler measures: Approximately 1 inch thick, 3 inches in diameter and 5 1/2 inches in overall length. The stem, threads, chain and felt gasket are all in excellent condition. Look carefully because you will get the one shown in the pictures. It will be sent fully insured. We show the actual pictures for details - look attentively - they are the best description.
